This test measures the amount of thyroglobulin, a protein made by the thyroid gland, in your blood. It helps doctors monitor thyroid cancer treatment or check for recurrence after thyroid removal. The additional Anti-Tg screen looks for antibodies that might interfere with the thyroglobulin measurement.
