Bone-specific Alkaline Phosphatase (BAP), Labcorp

This test measures the amount of a specific enzyme called alkaline phosphatase that comes mainly from your bones. It is often used to help evaluate bone diseases, such as Paget's disease or bone cancer, and to monitor bone growth or healing. High levels can indicate increased bone activity, while low levels are less common and can suggest certain metabolic bone disorders.
